Lake Kelsall

Lake Kelsall and Mount Kelsall are located in the Northwestern corner of British Columbia near Alaska and the Yukon Territory.

Richard Butler Lowe Kelsall took a team of four other men, on horseback, from Calgary, Alberta to survey a group of five mountains. Each mountain was named after them.

One of those mountains in this photo is Mount Kelsall. Also, apparently there is a river that flows into the lake, it is also named Kelsall. Makes sense, since it probably sources from the top of Mount Kelsall and Lake Kelsall would be the first low spot for the water to travel.

Herman Clever, who is the brother in-law to Richard, having been Richard's wife's youngest sibling traveled to Mount Kelsall in the 1980s by car with his wife, the late Inga Clever.
